Praia brava Itajai

Água límpida, quase sempre azulada agreste e floresta nativa, junta-se à areia branca nos seus 3 km. Recanto de gente bonita, é point de surfistas e praticantes de vôo livre.

A Praia Brava é a mais conhecida de Itajaí. Essa praia é destaque nacional e internacional. Turistas de várias regiões do país e também de outros países vêem a Praia Brava como uma das mais bonitas do Brasil. Das águas da praia é possível ver a vegetação de restinga em sua orla que imprime um aspecto agreste ao ambiente e também é possível ver o verde da Mata Atlântica, que se estende pelos morros que cercam a comunidade que leva o mesmo nome da Praia. Cenário cada vez mais raro pois geralmente as orlas marítimas são ocupadas por inúmeros prédios e avenidas que provocam a supressão de toda a vegetação de restinga, tirando dessa forma a beleza natural dessas paisagens.
Na Praia Brava é realizado periodicamente alguns campeonatos de surf nacionais e internacionais.
Alguns bares, restaurantes e casas noturnas localizadas próximas a praia estão inseridos no meio da vegetação (isto acontece na parte Norte da praia) para evitar a poluição visual e consequentemente um maior impacto ambiental.

Píer Turístico

O Píer é um terminal exclusivo de passageiros de transatlânticos e foi criado para atrair esses navios luxuosos, além de incentivar a atividade turística na cidade. Ele também é utilizado por embarcações da Marinha do Brasil e de Pesquisas Oceanográficas. Aberto à visitação das 08 as 12h e das 14 as 18h.

Beira Rio e/ou Caminhos de Sodegaura
Ótimo para começar ou terminar o dia, pois, na Beira Rio o amanhecer e entardecer são lindos. É a Avenida que beira o Saco da Fazenda (uma baía fechada entre o Rio Itajaí-Açu e o Mar) e concentra o maior número de bares e restaurantes da cidade, onde a especialidade são frutos de mar e peixes. Conhecida por seu charme e beleza, foi construída em 1824, tem no seu interior painéis e pinturas da arte sacra do mais notável artista plástico da cidade, Dide Brandão e imagens de madeira do século XIX.

Instituição cultural e científica fundada em 1932 pelo botânico e padre, Raulino Reitz, possui a maior coleção de informações de exemplares da flora catarinense. Relógio do Sol
Localizado no entrocamento das Rua Camboriú e Lauro Muller.
Construído por um andarilho oriundo do Uruguai, conhecido por Felix Carbajal. O relógio utiliza-se dos pontos magnéticos e do sol para funcionar.

Parque Náutico Odílio Garcia
Avenida Reinaldo Schmithausen, Bairro Cordeiros
Margeando o Rio Itajaí-Açu, foi construído com a finalidade de proporcionar entretenimento à comunidade e todos os apaixonados por esportes náuticos. Possui uma ampla área para pescaria, passeios de bicicleta, campeonatos de Jet Sky, moto náutica e Remo, além do deslumbre do atracadouro de navios petroleiros.

Farol de Cabeçudas
Consiste em uma coluna de ferro em escada e balaustrada exterior próximo à casa do faroleiro, de um aparelho de quinta ordem, exibindo luz branca variada para lampejos de 30 em 30 segundos, numa visibilidade até 12 milhas em tempo claro. Para chegar ao local, o visitante percorrerá um pitoresco trajeto em estrada sinuosa sobre o morro, rochedos e mar.

Praia de Cabeçudas
A mais charmosa de todas, com seus casarões que já abrigaram a nata da sociedade catarinense, um passeio pelo bairro é de encher os olhos. Tem mar calmo, é um das preferidas pelas famílias, oferece boa infra-estrutura turística com restaurantes e hotel. Na elevação no pontal sul, está localizado o Farol de Cabeçudas que oferece uma vista muito bonita da região.

Praia do Atalaia
Suas ondas são consideradas as mais regulares do Brasil, point do surfe é freqüentada pela juventude itajaiense.

Praia do Geremias
Águas rasas e mansas, a praia do Geremias, oferece a tranqüilidade que todo o banhista deseja principalmente os que têm crianças, devido à extensão limitada que permite o fácil controle.

Praia Brava
Durante o dia é point de surfistas e gente bonita, com mar agitado e areia fofa e apesar do grande fluxo de banhistas, a praia continua com características extremamente agrestes. E a noite é diversão garantida nos bares e boate. Possui boa infra-estrutura de bares e restaurantes. Acesso por cabeçudas em estrada não pavimentada.

Praia dos Amores
De mar aberto é uma extensão da Praia Brava, dividida apenas pela Lagoa. Urbanizada, mais que ainda mantém preservadas suas características naturais. No lado norte tem o Morro do Careca que dispõe de uma plataforma de 160 m de altura, proporcionando grande prazer aos fãs de vôo livre. Possui boas opções de hospedagens. Acesso pela Rod. Museu Histórico de Itajaí – Antiga Biblioteca Municipal

No acervo encontram-se materiais com vestígios deixados pelos primeiros habitantes da região, obras de arte, moedas, fotografias, indumentárias, que poderão ser visitadas diariamente. O Museu funciona na Rua Hercílio Luz, no Palácio Marcos Konder, e está aberto de terça a sexta, das 9 às 17h; sábados e domingos, das 13 às 18h.

Casa da Cultura Dide Brandão

Inaugurada em 1913 e tombada em 1980. O prédio abrigava uma escola onde meninos e meninas estudavam em alas separadas. Em 1982, passou a funcionar como a Casa da Cultura para desenvolver atividades culturais, possui salas ambientais para ensino das artes cênicas com galeria de arte e auditório.

Centro Histórico
